Our Healthway air purifier is designd to be run 24/7. However, if it is placed in a small to medium room, it only takes half an hour to clean the air, so we often just switch it on when we are in the house.

Run your air purifier all the time. Since air pollution is a pervasive and continuous problem, it’s best to leave your air purifier on all day. There are no perceived drawbacks to keeping your unit running all the time, and if the filters are changed on time it can help to reduce pollutants in the home.

Can you leave your air purifier on all day? Most air purifiers are designed to operate 24 hours a day just as a fridge does. However, there are some exceptions. Some air purifiers such as ozone generators can only be used when no one is around, while devices such as some desk and car air purifiers are designed for use only when the user is around.

This also means that you should run your air purifier all day and night long without turning it off. The reason is very simple. As the clean air will get contaminated again within 3-4 hours’ time if you had left your air purifier turned off. Therefore, it is highly advisable to run the air purifier 24 hours a day.
